Our Initial Visit

If you’re looking to upgrade to hosted telephony we need to have a clear understanding about who you are, how you work and what your expectations are about cloud telephone systems.

We will arrange an initial meeting with you which ideally will be face to face, although we are happy to arrange a video call or a phone call if you prefer.

This meeting is mainly to ask you questions and learn more about you and your organisation.

Proposal

We try to keep everything as simple and as straightforward as we can.

We will next arrange to present our proposal to you telling you what we advise and why and we will try to do this in as clear a manner as we can with as little or as much technical information as you need.

We will explain the set-up costs you can expect along with the ongoing charges too.

Process

We will give you plenty of notice of what to expect and when.

Before your new hosted telephone system is installed, we need to carry out a full programming and engineering survey.
We will ask you questions about how you want to use your cloud PBX, how many users there will be and how you want the programming setting up so that you can get the most from it.

We will arrange to convert all your current telephone numbers over to VoIP numbers and this is also a great opportunity to set-up any new numbers that you may also require.
It typically takes 10 to 21 days to successfully port your existing numbers to VoIP; however, be prepared it can take longer too.

When it comes to the day the numbers convert to The Cloud, you also need to prepare in advance as there will be a period of the day when your existing numbers will ‘go offline’ and during this time, you are not able to divert these numbers or play any announcements as they will be porting away from your current carrier across to the new technology of The Cloud.
This ‘downtime’ may be less than an hour or two, or it might take all day. Unfortunately, we have no control over the numbers until the porting process has finished; however, we will give you plenty of notice of what to expect and when.
